Spring 2009 is off to a great start with the final push for the Senior class and the first semester of seeing patients for the Juniors. The immediate goal for the Class of 2009 is the National Dental Hygiene Board examination that will be take place on March 24th at Loma Linda. We all wish them success and know that they are prepared to pass with flying colors. The Class of 2010 will be starting their clinic sessions and putting all their newly learned instrumentation skills to good use. Prior to taking their competencies the first week back, they should review the basic instrumentation videos on the web site using their typodonts. This will help them get up to speed and fine tune those techniques that were worked so hard on during last semester.

Good luck to all.

We have completed the 7th week of the semester and Midterms are approaching quickly. It has been a fast and furious period and it is obvious that everybody is working very hard. The Message Board is a good method to connect with your classmates for encouragement and support. The images for Radiology and Anatomy are only clicks away so don’t forget to take advantage of this simple way to help review for class and tests. Good luck for the rest of the semester.

Hi Everyone!

There have been some content updates to RDHD this weekend. Namely, there are 10 new Local Anesthesia videos. As well as two new image galleries: Rinn Kit and Placement Insertion Device (PID) and Sterilization Area Procedures.

Check them out!

We're also getting closer to the search function working. I wouldn't say it's "coming soon" but at least there has been progress made.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

The RDHD forums were accidentally deleted! You will have to re-create your account. However you can use the same username and password as before. So sorry for the inconvenience. RDHD has undergone it's third major site redesign! Since we came up with the idea for this resource last November it has become a rather large task to maintain and required a new structure. Let us know what you think! Also, the search function doesn't work yet, but it's something we're working on.

RDHD Welcomes You

Midterms are over so we have reached the half-way point in the semester. It is important to focus on what you accomplished and not get discouraged by the amount of work that is still to be done.  A famous quote to think about is: “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.” by Abraham Lincoln. We only have 6 more weeks so “just keep swimming” as a wise Junior once said. More News
